America’s Dave & Buster’s debuts in Mumbai, targets 15 new locations in 5 years

The Mumbai outlet will cover 22,000 sq. ft. of retail space and will be situated in Infinity Mall, Andheri West

Bengaluru: Dave & Buster’s, America’s premier entertainment and dining destination, is making its Mumbai debut in collaboration with franchise partner Malpani Group, following its entry into the Indian market seven months ago, a top company official told IndiaRetailing.

The upcoming outlet will span 22,000 sq. ft. of retail space and will be located at Infinity Mall, Andheri West.

“Mumbai is a vibrant social and cultural hub, and Andheri offers a prime catchment with easy access from key neighborhoods like Lokhandwala, Santa Cruz, and Khar. This ensures a high-potential, dynamic audience and strong connectivity, making it an ideal starting point for us in the city,” said Shreya Malpani, Director of the Malpani Group, during an exclusive interaction.

This launch follows the success of the brand’s first outlet in India at Bengaluru’s Mantri Mall, which opened in December 2024 and spans 27,000 sq. ft.

In addition, the Malpani Group, a Rs 3,000 crore diversified business house, has outlined plans to open over 15 new Dave & Buster’s locations across India within the next five years.

“Typically, our investment per outlet varies based on its size, scale, and location. For these outlets, the investment ranges from approximately $2 million to $4 million,” added Malpani.

What’s Inside the Outlet

Building on its signature global concept of “Eat. Drink. Play. Watch.”, the new Mumbai location will offer a high-energy destination combining premium dining, interactive arcade gaming, and immersive entertainment, all in one space.

  • Eat: The outlet will offer a premium dining experience, with a menu that blends bold American standards and carefully curated local flavours. It will feature 117 food SKUs, offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The menu spans global favourites and locally inspired dishes, ensuring there’s something for every palate. The venue has a seating capacity of over 200 guests.

  • Drink: The beverage program boasts 398 SKUs, featuring a great mixology collection and a range of Dave & Buster’s signature cocktails. The line-up covers premium spirits, craft beers, mocktails, non-alcoholic blends, and specialty coffees, all curated to complement the dining and gaming experience.
  • Play: The gaming zone spans approximately 12,000 sq. ft. and features arcade and VR experiences along with four lanes of India’s first Nitro-Lightning Spark Bowling. The outlet offers over 60 games across categories such as racing, basketball, shooters, and classic arcades, with popular titles from around the world curated to suit Indian tastes.
  • Watch: The focus is on delivering a high-energy environment that keeps guests returning for both the atmosphere and the action. Multiple large screens will showcase live sports and events, creating a vibrant social atmosphere. Collaborations with fan clubs, themed nights, curated food-and-drink combos, and exclusive offers aim to cultivate a loyal community.

Another key differentiator for Dave & Buster’s in Mumbai is its focus on creating experiential events designed to drive footfall and encourage repeat visits.

These include seasonal menus, mid-day and midweek offers, and themed activities. Successful initiatives from the Bengaluru outlet, such as coffee tastings, bowling tournaments, and DJ nights, will be adapted for Mumbai.

“We learned a great deal from our experience in Bengaluru and have applied many of the same concepts and strategies to our Mumbai launch, with an added emphasis on digital marketing initiatives,” said Malpani. “Our goal was to recreate the same high-energy environment while also incorporating unique elements tailored specifically for Mumbai.”

Dave & Buster’s India concept appeals to all age groups; however, given the stronger demand among young adults, the primary focus is on audiences aged roughly 13 to 40 years.

“One of our key priorities is to build an ecosystem that delivers high-quality entertainment for our guests. To achieve this, we continuously conduct global R&D on game mixes and concepts, leveraging these insights and consumer trends to adapt and localise them for the Indian market,” said Malpani.

Eagle Labs launches impirica CBD brand

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Eagle Labs has launched impirica, a new brand of CBD intended to eliminate consumer fear, and increase confidence, in trying the exciting new cannabidiol category. Michael Law Although most Americans have now heard about CBD, many are very confused and concerned about product quality. This is inhibiting trial in the category and holding back conversion into sales. In fact, a 2017 study by Johns Hopkins University found that two out of three CBD products on the shelf did not contain the amount of CBD reflected on the label. Furthermore, in 2018 and 2019, the FDA sent notices to a substantial number of CBD manufacturers advising them of serious concerns about product quality or egregious medical claims. The impirica brand looks different than most CBD brands — the brand name itself connotes testing and trust, says Eagle Labs chief commercial officer Michael Law. “It doesn’t use the traditional category colors of browns and greens, and you won’t find a hemp...
